Westlake Village, CA - Customer satisfaction among new motorcycle buyers is on the rise, according to a recent J.D. Power & Assoc. survey. Better customer service at the dealership and higher-quality motorcycles are attributed with the gains. Ratings are up about 10% from the past two years.
Buyers report that design and style are the two most important items to them in the purchase decision, followed by brand, performance and handling.
The average age of buyers continues upward, from 41 years in 1998 to 44 in 2003. Two thirds of the buyers are 40 years or older. Women account for slightly more than 10% of new bike sales.
