EDITION: 2010 | The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail Convertible has a detachable fairing making this custom Harley a true convertible. Further living up to its name, the saddlebags on this Harley CVO model can be removed and are sealed to protect your belongings from the elements. For a quick custom change, the seat with a detachable passenger pillion allows you to quickly go from a solo to a two up ride for a passenger. Unique to this custom Harley Softail Convertible CVO is a digital speedo and analog tach. This high-tech gauge delivers a speedometer that toggles between mph and km/h and a unique perimeter-sweeping tachometer. Its digital, backlit 5-inch face makes for easy readouts, and the design pops with spun metal and color matching accents. We sweated bullets perfecting every cubic inch, pushing design and technology forward. And we did it all without compromising one bit of Harley-Davidson's unique styling. Evolved, yet carrying on the legacy of the Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Evolution® and Twin Cam 88® engines that came before. New Harley-Davidson® iPod® nano: We just won't settle for anything we can't design to the last detail. We've even taken it upon ourselves to customize the iPod® you'll be plugging in to the system. Designed specifically for the Custom Vehicles Operations™ series, this 8 GB iPod® nano--complete with the H-D® Bar and Shield etched on the back and protective Custom Vehicle Operations™ carrying pouch--is another way we go the extra mile.
Integrated sound system: That exclusive Harley-Davidson® iPod® nano deserves a suitable booming system. This one comes with great sound, the 20 watts per channel amplifier drives the 3 1/2-inch two-way speakers to deliver the rock in your roll. The amp, speakers, and volume control are housed artfully inside a new inner fairing for a slick, clean look--a perfect complement to the crisp, blanketing sound. Riding free just wouldn't be the same without the right soundtrack. Now, it's yours to write.
New keyless ignition system with security system: The 2011 CVO™ Softail® Convertible is the first-ever Harley-Davidson® bike to feature a keyless ignition. Talk about feeling connected to your machine. For anyone else, it's just a good-looking pile of metal. But it knows you. The ignition switch is gone and you don't even need a key to start your bike. The system features a hands-free fob that automatically arms the vehicle as you walk away from the bike. And when you get back, the system is disabled before you can swing your leg over and flip the switch to start it. It's all automatic. It just happens for you. And since the bike takes care of itself, we replaced the ignition switch with an eye-catching, back-lit medallion that glows red with the distinctive Custom Vehicle Operations™ logo.
Anti-lock brakes: When it comes to the CVO™ Softail® Convertible, "stopping power" has a double meaning. The components of our ABS are tastefully hidden within the wheel hub, so you'll still turn heads with clean, streamlined designed. More importantly, though you get certainty in the saddle knowing your bike's going to behave when you need it.
Electronic cruise control: Introducing the first-ever factory cruise control on a Harley-Davidson® Softail®. It's just another way the Convertible rides the line between cruising style and touring comfort. You'll get the convenience of cruise control without the cables cluttering up your handlebar. Our electronic throttle control technology makes it possible to have the best of both worlds.
Accessory connector: Beyond the unique paint and graphics. Beyond the broad band of power. Beyond the cool custom features. You can enhance your Custom Vehicle Operations™ motorcycle even more by taking advantage of the exhaustive catalogue of Harley-Davidson add-ons and accessories. The accessory connector sits discreetly under the rider seat to the left, making sure that whatever you envision for your bike is easily within your reach and can be plugged in with ease.

The whole wiring harness is skillfully routed behind the jewels of the bike--the tank, engine and all the other eye-popping features you want to see. Intuitive controls: Hand controls on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle are incredibly intuitive. Detachable passenger seat: Though you get your dream bike, your passenger might argue they're the lucky one. They'll be seen soaking up miles in touring comfort, complete with a padded backrest--not to mention a chauffeur. And when it's time for you to go alone, just quickly detach the passenger pillion, backrest and upright and hit the throttle--don't worry, underneath you'll find stylish chrome and rubber trim strips for a clean solo look.
Full-length footboards: Your boots were made for riding, in any way you see fit. Our full-length footboards boast a tried and true design that's stood the test of time. Leather with alligator-skin-styled inserts, they combine a smooth sleek styled appearance with the latest convenience features. Larger than the 2010 model's saddlebags, they'll even handle a half shell helmet. And they've got enhanced sealing against the elements.

Chrome welded mini "ape-hanger" handlebar: Grab hold of the 1 1/4-inch chrome min "ape-hanger" handlebars and put your fists 8 inches up in the wind. The 90-degree welds scream garage custom and the internal wiring preserves a clean, premium look.
